The revolutionary spirit of southwestern Zhejiang Province is the fighting and victorious spirit condensed by southwestern Zhejiang Province (today's Lishui) and its surrounding areas in the period of Chinese revolutionary wars, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and in the long-term revolutionary struggle. The revolutionary spirit in southwestern Zhejiang mainly includes the following three aspects:

浙西南革命精神是浙西南（今丽水市）及其周边地区在中国革命战争时期、在中国共产党领导下、在长期革命斗争中凝结而成的战斗精神和胜利精神。浙西南革命精神主要包括以下三个方面：

First, loyalty to missions. The advancing division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was an army under the direct command of the CPC Central Committee. In the process of carrying out their tasks, the advancing division faced several difficulties such as strong reactionary forces and bad marching environments, but they still resolutely stuck to the determination of fulfilling the mission, and sacrificed without regret, showing their infinite loyalty and heroic spirit. Obeying the Party's command and being loyal to the Party was its fundamental feature.

一是忠诚使命。中国工农红军挺进师是党中央直接指挥下的一支军队。挺进师在执行任务的过程中几度面临反动势力强大、行进环境恶劣等困境，但他们仍毅然抱定着“不辱使命”的决心，慷慨就义，表现出了无限的忠诚和英勇的大无畏精神。“听党指挥、对党忠诚”是其根本特征。

Secondly, being realistic and forging ahead. The task of the advancing division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was to penetrate into Kuomintang's core region, namely Zhejiang Province including its southwestern part. In order to fulfill its mission, the advancing division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army pressed forward with indomitable will though they knew that the enemy was heavily defended.

二是求是挺进。中国工农红军挺进师的任务是深入国民党核心区域，即包括浙西南在内的浙江省。为了完成使命，中国工农红军挺进师在明知敌人重兵防守的情况下，仍然一往无前。

They vividly put into practice the connotation of the word advancing, and flaunted their ardent patriotism with determination and courage. The concept that Su Yu put forward — I advance while the enemy advances was also a powerful declaration of keeping forging ahead.

他们生动践行了“挺进”一词的内涵，用决心与勇气标榜了热忱的爱国之情。粟裕提出的“敌进我进”也是求是挺进的有力宣言。

Thirdly, it was rooted in the people. Located in a mountainous area in the southwest of Zhejiang, the people of the area once lived in the dire straits due to the exaction and levies of the Kuomintang reactionaries. After the arrival of the advancing division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, they relieved the local people of the class oppression and the oppression of ethnic discrimination policy, and immediately launched a comprehensive and meticulous mass work, making the southwest of Zhejiang take on a new look.

三是植根人民。浙省西南部地处山区，加之国民党反动派苛捐杂税，人民一度生活在水生火热之中。中国工农红军挺进师到达之后，解除了当地人民受到的阶级压迫和民族歧视政策压迫，随即开展了全面、细致的群众工作，使浙西南的面貌焕然一新。

The revolutionary spirit of southwestern Zhejiang was a heroic song of the times composed by the people of southwestern Zhejiang during the period of Chinese revolution. It is in the same line with the Chinese revolutionary spirits, and at the same time shines among them.

浙西南革命精神是由浙西南人民在中国革命期间谱写的时代壮歌。它与中国革命精神一脉相承，又在众多革命精神中熠熠生辉。
