学党史 | 党史青译·谢文锦：无惧为革命牺牲

In 1920, Xie Wenjin joined the Socialist Youth League and the early organization of the Communist Party of Shanghai. Later in 1921 he became a member of Communist Party of China. After that, he served as a translator for the Communist International representative and the military and political adviser ofthe Soviet Union Borodin, and as a secretary of the CPC Central Committeeat the same time.

谢文锦，1920年加入社会主义青年团，并参加了上海共产党早期组织，1921年加入中国共产党。之后他又担任共产国际代表、苏联军事政治顾问鲍罗廷的翻译，并任中共中央秘书。

Under the instructions of the CPC Central Committee, and in the name of visiting his parents, he returned to his hometown and carried out his work in the form of visiting relatives and friends,holding forums and giving speeches. He also went to the countryside, factories and schools to publicize Marxism and Leninism, the Party's program and Sun Yat Sen's policy of uniting with Russia and the Communist Party and helping farmers and workers, as well as to actively get prepared for the establishment of party organizations. He personally introduced more than 10 people to join the Communist Party of China andthe Socialist Youth League, and organized an independent branch of the Communist Party of China in Wenzhou,the first party organization in Zhejiang Province that was directly under the leadership of the Central Committee.

奉党中央指示，他以省亲名义回到家乡，以访亲会友、座谈、演讲等形式开展工作，并深入到乡间、工厂或学校，宣传马克思列宁主义，宣传党的纲领和孙中山联俄、联共、扶助农工的政策，积极筹建党团组织。他直接介绍十多人加入中国共产党和社会主义青年团，亲手创建了浙江全省直属中央领导的第一个党组织——中共温州独立支部。

He once published the article Lenin and the Peasantsin the special issue ofNew Youth which aimed to commemorate Lenin. This important article is our party's early systematic introduction to Lenin's exposition of the peasant problem, which played an important role in helping the party deepen their theoretical understanding on the status of the peasant problem in Chinese revolution. This article was highly praised by Mao Zedong and was selected as the teaching material of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Institute.

他曾在《新青年》纪念列宁专号发表《列宁与农民》一文。这是我们党早期系统介绍列宁论述农民问题的重要文章，对党从理论上认识农民问题在中国革命中的地位，起了很好的作用。此文受到毛泽东的赞扬，被选为广州农民运动讲习所教材。

With the continuous changes in the forms of revolution, Xie Wenjin as well as others was acutely aware that things had changed. There's always a price to pay for revolutions, as well as sacrifices. We are not afraid of sacrifice and we need to organize forces to confront the enemy! He asked the Party and League members in Nanjing to mobilize and organize forces to fight back against anti-revolutionary activities. 

随着革命形式不断变化，谢文锦等人敏锐地察觉到事态有变。“革命总是要付出代价的，总是有牺牲的。我们不怕牺牲，我们要组织力量和敌人对抗！”他要求南京的党团员抓紧动员和组织力量，对反对革命的行为进行反击。

When he presided over an enlarged meeting of Nanjing prefectural party committee, discussing the specific measures against the Kuomintang Rightists, Xie Wenjin and his comrades were unfortunately surrounded and arrested by the Kuomintang's secret investigation team. The cruel secret agents of the Kuomintang used extremely cruel torture, adopting every possible means, both tough and soft, but they would rather die than surrender, showing the lofty integrity of the Communists. Three days later, 33-year-old Xie Wenjin as well as other 9 people, was secretly killed.

在主持召开南京地委扩大会议，研究应对国民党右派的具体对策时，国民党特务侦缉队包围了会场，谢文锦等人不幸被捕。凶残的国民党特务对他们使用了极其残酷的刑罚，威胁利诱，软硬兼施，但他们宁死不屈，表现出了共产党人崇高的气节。三天后，谢文锦等十人被秘密杀害，他当时年仅33岁。

Although Xie Wenjin's life is short, his fearlessness to sacrifice for the revolution will always remain in our hearts.

谢文锦的一生虽然短暂，但他无惧为革命牺牲的精神将永远留在我们心中。
